We are now part of the top 7% of global software engineering vendors at Pangea

We are kicking off 2022 with great news for X2 Mobile, and we couldn't wait to share them with you! We are a verified member of the Pangea community. Starting with this month, we are part of an elite community representing the top 7% of the global software engineering vendors. And we did it big time: the X2 Mobile admission score was 9.4 (while the average admission score is 8.4).

The journey of getting there

We decided to join this unique club because we share the same goal: to deliver the highest level of product and service to our partners while providing full transparency about our organization and processes. By placing ourselves in a trusted environment, we put our vast knowledge and experience on the table for even more businesses that contribute to social sustainability and growth.

Here, at X2 Mobile, we also strive for continuous improvement, and we don't shy away from a challenge. That's why we were eager to get feedback on our mindset, culture, processes, and tools. We love to excel and we know there is always a way to do things better.

The verification process was thorough and it required a lot of work from our team. Once again, it proved that it's all hands on deck when we all work together towards a common goal. Everyone stepped in and did their part. We couldn't be more grateful for having the most fantastic team!

As we predicted, there was a lot of documentation to be drafted, questionnaires to be filled in, and real user feedback to be gathered, but that's what you expect when joining a community of elite companies that value unparalleled transparency.  

Completing the verification process throughout the month of December was an additional challenge due to the number of internal events that we had. Still, we successfully managed to pull everything off. Teamwork makes the dream work!

What we learned along the way

After eight years of sustained team effort, it was very overwhelming to see our scores. This proves that we are on the right track and it gives us yet another reason to celebrate the splendid work we have done over the years.

At the same time, we were happy to get valuable and constructive feedback on how we can improve in various areas. It also felt really good to reconnect with some old partners that were happy to provide feedback on products we did a couple of years back.

After completing Pangea's admission verification process, we can confirm that their top 7% ranking is not just a tagline; it really sets the bar high and creates an elite community of software engineering teams. We are honored to join this unique club as it motivates us to continue to go the extra mile and grow even more.

We were thrilled with our stellar overall admission score of 9.4, as it was a welcomed recognition of the team effort. Every single member of our team was actively involved in the verification process and made this fantastic end result possible. We couldn't have done it without fostering an environment of collaborative working that we are very proud of.

We scored 9.3 in the UI/UX Design category, while Customer Journey, Project Management, Technical Expertise, Quality Assurance, Documentation Level, and Business & Process Maturity were the highest-rated, leading to a client score of 9.9. You can find out more about this on our Pangea profile.

We identified areas that can definitely be improved as well, and we are already working on them. For example, we strive to be even more transparent with the team, ensure that all voices are heard, and enable everyone to contribute to the X2 Mobile success.

We are also learning to take the time to celebrate our success more instead of going after our next goal. Although we put a lot of energy into making sure that everyone's voice is heard, there's always room for improvement.

During the last eight years here at X2 Mobile, we focused a lot on:

  • Gathering a strong team

  • Being in line with the latest technologies

  • Learn how to build the most efficient and user-oriented products

  • Learn how to communicate, facilitate and listen to our clients that, most of the time, turn into long term partners

Now, in order to fulfill our vision of becoming the most trusted mobile product partner for initiatives that contribute to social sustainability and growth, we are focusing on making sure we get to reach and help as many initiatives and partners as possible. 

Through the mobile applications that we build, we want to give anyone, anywhere, easy access to products that aid human development, individual fulfillment and life sustainability.

To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect from the Pangea onboarding, and I was a bit skeptical about how “real” the process will be. I kept thinking about how strict they can be as it’s in their benefit to bring another vendor on the platform and cash an additional yearly invoice. 

I was surprised about how elaborate the process was and the number of details and required documentation. Fact-checking information from multiple sources (employee, client, management) is a great tactic to discover the truth about a company.

Being part of this elite community is a great accomplishment for us. Still, at the same time, it is also a huge responsibility to keep our standards high and improve even more in the following years. Great way to start 2022!
